Our Services
What We Offer
Relationship and Family Therapy (RAFT) Ltd is a charity that provides mental health and relationship support to families, couples, individuals, children and young people across Dorset, Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, New Forest, Hampshire and South Wiltshire.
-
We support individuals to work through grief, loss, anxiety and depression and other difficulties as well as offering specialist support for relationship issues
RAFT offers Rewind therapy; a desensitisation technique that is used to treat phobias, anxiety and PTSD. This service is available in-person in our Weymouth outpost and online.
-
We all need a little help with our relationships sometimes, so regardless of your age, sexual preference, gender identity or relationship status, we’re here to support you with the challenges your relationship is facing.
If your relationship is coming to an end we can also help you work on your communication and practical matters as you separate.
-
We offer tailored family coaching for parents and carers with SEND needs, mental health difficulties and other challenges. Our experienced coaches use a mixture of tools to support you to take a breather, step out of the day to day and re-evaluate your relationships in the home.
-
Even the happiest of families sometimes have trouble seeing eye-to-eye. We work with families from all walks of life as they navigate life’s challenges, helping with everything from bereavements, new marriages, blending families, separation and divorce.
-
We offer counselling for children aged 6 to 25, and can take referrals directly from parents/guardians, or through their school.
Funding may be available for families on low income, or being referred by their school.
Sessions can be online or face-to-face for those aged 11+. Online family counselling is available to include under 11s. -
Resolve Conflict Your Way
Our mediation service offers a safe, neutral space for constructive, future-focused conversations so you can find practical solutions for your family or community without the stress of a courtroom.
Instead of a judge making life-changing decisions for you, we help you stay in the driver's seat. -
We are a leading provider of parent and carer support, specialising in SEND and families with complex needs.
Our family coaching sessions help parents and carers across BCP and Dorset with techniques for improving communication and lowering stress in the home.
Limited funding is available, subject to set criteria. Please contact us for further information.

An active sex life can be an important, healthy part of adult relationships, but sexual difficulties happen for most people at some point and they can have a big impact.
We can offer sex therapy for couples or individuals, no matter your gender or sexuality, for all sorts of problems, ranging from loss of desire to erectile dysfunction and painful intercourse.
Prices
We ask for a client contribution of £70 per session for all counselling services to help cover our costs.
As a charity, over 60% of our services are subsidised or fully funded. We continually fundraise to provide bursaries and project funds available for families and individuals subject to criteria.
